Namibia - Catamaran Tour - Part 3

Pelican's are funny awkward birds - wing spans of 6' or more. Very hard to capture dolphin on a digital camera, but we did see quite a few - really! The big boy in the middle there is a sea lion bull that is scouting out the beach looking for a harem to claim. He has a bit of a wait the ladies will not be ready until sometime toward the end of November and he will probably not be able to go out and feed because he has to protect his turf. He is going to be a busy busy boy! The lighthouse is now about 2 miles from the end of the peninsula. The currents and winds keep putting the sand in the water and currents keep taking it and depositing it on the end of the peninsula. Adding approx. 20' per year. So now they have a portable beacon that come and is moved annually.
