Alberta - Edith Carvel - Angel Glacier - Part 1

This is the famous Edith Carvel where the glacier is in the shape of an angel. I think you can see it best when your there. We had to do a little hiking to get there, but it was well worth the effort. There is a lower portion and an upper portion of this glacier. We were told that the glaciers are unpredictable and could shift or break or crumble at anytime. We were also told not to approach the glacier - but no not my girls they had to go inside a cave that was formed at the base of the glacier - I must admit I was very scared - but they are old enough to make their own decisions. I must say I was very relieved when we all got out from underneath that huge block of ice.
