Scott was very surprised as the brought him around the corner and he saw almost all the project team waiting to celebrate with him on his 47th B'day. They even planned for me and Nicky to get there in time for the surprise. Happy to You - Sweetheart!

Namibia - Beach Walks with a Friend

I have been here for 22 days and have very few opportunities to actually get out of the apartment. We recently had a party for the project team here at the apartment and I had the priveledge to met all of Scott's teammates for this project. A couple of them had spouses/friends here as well. Niken/Nicky as she likes to be called, is Julien's girlfriend of three years. She has been here since early August and also has had only a few opportunities to get out of the apartment. So, she and I had a very nice day yesterday - we rode into town for a bit and then back to the apartment and we actually got outside for a walk along the beach. It sure feels good to get outside.

Namibia - Team Building Party

Scott and I gave a team building party at our apartment last Saturday evening. We had 32 folks in our small apt. and we served pasta, salad, garlic bread and brownies. It was a great evening meeting all of Scott's team and being able just to have some fun was worth the extra work......

Namibia - Dune 7 - ATV playing

My first Saturday here in Walvis Bay, we had an other team building party that included both rigs (701 & 140) here for projects. The party was at Dune 7 located about 12 miles outside of town. There is a publicly area and a private area for sand surfing, quad riding, and just out door fun in the sun. Of course, it's the tail end of winter here, with mild weather - they say.......Not for me - the humidity is high, the fog/hazy is heavy in the mornings and burns off mid day only to return before sun down. I did not bring the right gear for this weather - but they tell me it's going to warm up...... Here are a few photos from our ride in the Namib-Naukluft Park
